ܘܡܠܟܬ ܫܒܐ ܫܡܥܬ ܛܒܗ ܕܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܘܐܬܬ ܠܡܢܣܝܘܬܗ ܠܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܒܐܘܚ̈ܕܬܐ ܘܐܬܬ ܠܐܘܪܫܠܡ ܒܚܝܠܐ ܕܣܓܝ ܛܒ ܘܓ̈ܡܠܐ ܕܛܥܝܢܝܢ ܒܣ̈ܡܐ ܘܕܗܒܐ ܕܣܓܝ ܛܒ ܘܛܒ̈ܥܐ ܛܒ̈ܐ ܘܐܬܬ ܠܘܬ ܡܠܟܐ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܘܓܠܬ ܠܗ ܟܠ ܕܒܠܒܗ̇

When the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon, she came to test Solomon with hard questions at Jerusalem, with a very great caravan, including camels that bore spices, gold in abundance, and precious stones. When she had come to Solomon, she talked with him about all that was in her heart.

ܘܓܠܐ ܠܗ̇ ܡܠܟܐ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܟܘܠ ܡܕܡ ܘܐܪܙ ܠܒܗ ܘܠܐ ܡܕܡ ܟܣܐ ܡܠܟܐ ܕܠܐ ܓܠܐ ܠܗ̇

Solomon answered all her questions. There wasn’t anything hidden from Solomon which he didn’t tell her.

ܘܚܙܬ ܡܠܟܬ ܫܒܐ ܚܟܡܬܗ ܕܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܘܒܝܬܐ ܕܒܢܐ

When the queen of Sheba had seen the wisdom of Solomon, the house that he had built,

ܘܡܐܟܠ ܦܬܘܪܗ ܘܡܘܬܒ ܥܒ̣ܕܘ̈ܗܝ ܘܩܝܡܐ ܕܡܫܡܫ̈ܢܘܗܝ ܘܠܒܘ̈ܫܝܗܘܢ ܘܫܩܘ̈ܬܗ ܘܠܒܘܫ̈ܝܗܘܢ ܘܕܒܚ̈ܐ ܕܡܕܒܚ ܗܘܐ ܒܒܝܬܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܘܠܐ ܗܘܬ ܒܗ̇ ܬܘܒ ܪܘܚܐ ܠܡܚܙܐ
lmkhz' rwkh' thwb bh hwth wl' dmry' bbythh hw' dmdbkh wdbkh' wlbwshyhwn wshqwthh wlbwshyhwn dmshmshnwhy wqym' ebdwhy wmwthb pthwrh wm'kl
the food of his table, the seating of his servants, the attendance of his ministers, their clothing, his cup bearers and their clothing, and his ascent by which he went up to Yahweh’s house, there was no more spirit in her.

ܘܐ̇ܡܪܐ ܠܡܠܟܐ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܫܪܝܪܐ ܗܘܬ ܡܠܬܐ ܕܫܡ̇ܥܐ ܗܘܝܬ ܒܡܕܝܢܬܝ ܥܠ ܦܬܓ̈ܡܝܟ ܘܥܠ ܚܟܡܬܟ
khkmthk wel pthgmyk el bmdynthy hwyth dshme' mlth' hwth shryr' shlymwn lmlk' w'mr'
She said to the king, “It was a true report that I heard in my own land of your acts and of your wisdom.

ܘܠܐ ܡܗܝܡܢܐ ܗܘܝܬ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܐܝܟܐ ܕܐܬܝܬ ܘܚܙܝܬ ܒܥ̈ܝܢܝ ܘܗܐ ܠܐ ܚܘܝܬܢܝ ܦܠܓܐ ܐܣܓܝܬ ܚܟܡܬܟ ܘܐܘܣܦܬ ܥܠ ܛܒܐ ܕܫܡܥܬ
dshmeth Tb' el w'wspth khkmthk 'sgyth plg' khwythny l' wh' beyny wkhzyth d'thyth l'yk' edm' hwyth mhymn' wl'
However I didn’t believe their words until I came, and my eyes had seen it; and behold half of the greatness of your wisdom wasn’t told me. You exceed the fame that I heard!

ܛܘܒܝܗܘܢ ܠܥܒ̣̈ܕܝܟ ܗܠܝܢ ܕܩ̇ܝܡܝܢ ܩܕܡܝܟ ܐܡܝܢܐܝܬ ܘܫܡ̇ܥܝܢ ܚܟܡܬܟ
khkmthk wshmeyn 'myn'yth qdmyk dqymyn hlyn lebdyk Twbyhwn
Happy are your men, and happy are these your servants, who stand continually before you and hear your wisdom.

ܘܢܗܘܐ ܡܪܝܐ ܐܠܗܟ ܒܪܝܟ ܗ̇ܘ ܡ̇ܢ ܕܓܒܟ ܘܐܘܬܒܟ ܥܠ ܟܘܪܣܝܐ ܕܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܘܡܛܠ ܕܪܚܡ ܡܪܝܐ ܠܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܐܩܝܡܟ ܡܠܟܐ ܥܠܝܗܘܢ ܠܥܠܡ ܠܡܥܒܕ ܕܝܢ̣ܐ ܘܙܕܝܩܘܬܐ
wzdyqwth' dyn' lmebd lelm elyhwn mlk' 'qymk l'ysryl mry' drkhm wmTl d'ysryl dmlkwth' kwrsy' el w'wthbk dgbk mn hw bryk 'lhk mry' wnhw'
Blessed be Yahweh your God, who delighted in you and set you on his throne to be king for Yahweh your God, because your God loved Israel, to establish them forever. Therefore he made you king over them, to do justice and righteousness.”

ܘܝܗܒܬ ܠܡܠܟܐ ܡܐܐ ܘܥܣܪܝܢ ܟܟܪ̈ܝܢ ܕܕܗܒܐ ܘܒܣ̈ܡܐ ܣ̈ܓܝܐܐ ܕܛܒ ܘܛܒ̈ܥܐ ܛܒ̈ܐ ܘܠܐ ܐܬܚܙܝܘ ܐܝܟ ܒܣܡ̈ܐ ܗ̇ܢܘܢ ܒܥܠܡܐ ܕܝܗܒܬ ܡܠܟܬ ܫܒܐ ܠܡܠܟܐ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ
shlymwn lmlk' shb' mlkth dyhbth belm' hnwn bsm' 'yk 'thkhzyw wl' Tb' wTbe' dTb sgy'' wbsm' ddhb' kkryn wesryn m'' lmlk' wyhbth
She gave the king one hundred and twenty talents of gold, spices in great abundance, and precious stones. There was never before such spice as the queen of Sheba gave to King Solomon.

ܘܐܦ ܥܒ̣ܕܘ̈ܗܝ ܕܚܝܪܡ ܘܥܒ̣ܕ̈ܘܗܝ ܕܡܠܟܐ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܐܝܬܝܘ ܕܗܒܐ ܡܢ ܐܘܦܝܪ ܘܐܝܬܝܘ ܩܝܣ̈ܐ ܕܐܫܟܪܥܐ
d'shkre' qys' w'ythyw 'wpyr mn dhb' 'ythyw shlymwn dmlk' webdwhy dkhyrm ebdwhy w'p
The servants of Huram and the servants of Solomon, who brought gold from Ophir, also brought algum trees and precious stones.

ܠܣܦܣ̈ܠܐ ܕܒܝܬܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܘܠܒܝܬܗ ܕܡܠܟܐ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܘܟܢܪ̈ܐ ܠܡܫܒ̈ܚܢܐ ܘܠܐ ܐܬܚܙܝܘ ܐܟܘܬܗܘܢ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܕܝܗܘܕܐ
dyhwd' b're' 'kwthhwn 'thkhzyw wl' lmshbkhn' wknr' shlymwn dmlk' wlbythh dmry' dbythh lspsl'
The king used algum tree wood to make terraces for Yahweh’s house and for the king’s house, and harps and stringed instruments for the singers. There were none like these seen before in the land of Judah.

ܘܡܠܟܐ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܝܗܒ ܠܡܠܟܬ ܫܒܐ ܟܘܠ ܡܕܡ ܕܫܐܠܬܗ ܠܒܪ ܡܢ ܡܕܡ ܕܝܗܒ ܠܗ̇ ܟܠܡܕܡ ܕܐܝܬ ܗܘܐ ܒܠܒܗ̇ ܘܩܡܬ ܐܙܠܬ ܠܡܕܝܢܬܗ̇ ܗܝ ܘܥܒ̣ܕ̈ܝܗ̇
webdyh hy lmdynthh 'zlth wqmth blbh hw' d'yth klmdm lh dyhb mdm mn lbr dsh'lthh mdm kwl shb' lmlkth yhb shlymwn wmlk'
King Solomon gave to the queen of Sheba all her desire, whatever she asked, more than that which she had brought to the king. So she turned and went to her own land, she and her servants.

ܘܗܘܐ ܡܢܝܢܐ ܕܕܗܒܐ ܕܥܐ̇ܠ ܗܘܐ ܠܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܒܫܢܬܐ ܚܕܐ ܫܬܡܐܐ ܘܫܬܝܢ ܘܫܬ ܟܟܪ̈ܝܢ ܕܕܗܒܐ
ddhb' kkryn wshth wshthyn shthm'' khd' bshnth' lshlymwn hw' de'l ddhb' mnyn' whw'
Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred sixty-six talents of gold,

ܠܒܪ ܡܢ ܡܟܣ̈ܐ ܕܡܕܝܢ̈ܬܐ ܘܡܘܒ̈ܠܐ ܕܬܓܪ̈ܐ ܘܟܠ ܡܠܟ̈ܐ ܕܥܪ̈ܒܝܐ ܘܫܠܝ̈ܛܢܐ ܕܐܪܥܐ ܡܝܬܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܟܣܦܐ ܘܕܗܒܐ ܠܫܠܝܡܘܢ
lshlymwn wdhb' ksp' hww mythyn d're' wshlyTn' derby' mlk' wkl dthgr' wmwbl' dmdynth' mks' mn lbr
in addition to that which the traders and merchants brought. All the kings of Arabia and the governors of the country brought gold and silver to Solomon.

ܘܥܒܕ ܡܠܟܐ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܡܐܬܝܢ ܣܟܪ̈ܝܢ ܕܕܗܒܐ ܛܒܐ ܘܫܬܡܐܐ ܕܪ̈ܝܟܘܢܐ ܕܕܗܒܐ ܛܒܐ ܩܪܡ ܠܣܟܪܐ ܚܕܐ
khd' lskr' qrm Tb' ddhb' drykwn' wshthm'' Tb' ddhb' skryn m'thyn shlymwn mlk' webd
King Solomon made two hundred large shields of beaten gold. Six hundred shekels of beaten gold went to one large shield.

ܘܬܠܬܡܐܐ ܣܟܪ̈ܝܢ ܕܕܗܒܐ ܛܒܐ ܘܬܠܬܐ ܡܢܝ̈ܢ ܕܕܗܒܐ ܥܒܕ ܒܝܬ ܡܘܚܕ ܐܝܕܐ ܕܣܟܪܐ ܚܕܐ ܘܝܗܒ ܐܢ̈ܝܢ ܡܠܟܐ ܒܝܬ ܥܒܐ ܕܠܒܢܢ
dlbnn eb' byth mlk' 'nyn wyhb khd' dskr' 'yd' mwkhd byth ebd ddhb' mnyn wthlth' Tb' ddhb' skryn wthlthm''
He made three hundred shields of beaten gold. Three hundred shekels of gold went to one shield. The king put them in the House of the Forest of Lebanon.

ܘܥܒܕ ܡܠܟܐ ܟܘܪܣܝܐ ܕܫܢܐ ܪܒܐ ܘܩܪܡܗ ܕܗܒܐ ܕܟܝܐ

Moreover the king made a great throne of ivory, and overlaid it with pure gold.

ܫܬܐ ܕܪ̈ܓܝܢ ܠܟܘܪܣܝܐ ܘܣܦܬܗ ܕܟܘܪܣܝܐ ܟܪܝܟܐ ܡܢ ܒܣܬܪܗ ܘܐܝܕ̈ܗܬܐ ܡܟܐ ܘܡܟܐ ܥܠ ܐܬܪܐ ܕܡܘܬܒܐ ܘܬܪܝܢ ܐܪ̈ܝܘܬܐ ܩ̇ܝܡܝܢ ܒܣܬܪ ܐܝܕܗ̈ܬܐ
'ydhth' bsthr qymyn 'rywth' wthryn dmwthb' 'thr' el wmk' mk' w'ydhth' bsthrh mn kryk' dkwrsy' wspthh lkwrsy' drgyn shth'
There were six steps to the throne, with a footstool of gold, which were fastened to the throne, and armrests on either side by the place of the seat, and two lions standing beside the armrests.

ܘܬܪ̈ܥܣܪ ܐܪ̈ܝܘܬܐ ܩ̇ܝܡܝܢ ܬܡܢ ܥܠ ܫܬܐ ܕܪ̈ܓܝܢ ܡܟܐ ܘܡܟܐ ܘܠܐ ܐܬܥܒܕ ܗܟܢܐ ܒܟܠܗܝܢ ܡܠܟܘ̈ܬܐ
mlkwth' bklhyn hkn' 'thebd wl' wmk' mk' drgyn shth' el thmn qymyn 'rywth' wthresr
Twelve lions stood there on the one side and on the other on the six steps. There was nothing like it made in any other kingdom.

ܘܟܠܗܘܢ ܡ̈ܐܢܐ ܕܬܫܡܫܬܗ ܕܡܠܟܐ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܕܕܗܒܐ ܘܟܠ ܡ̈ܐܢܐ ܕܒܝܬ ܓܙܗ ܕܡܠܟܐ ܕܕܗܒܐ ܣܢܝܢܐ ܘܟܣܦܐ ܠܐ ܚܫܝܒ ܗܘܐ ܒܝܘ̈ܡܬܗ ܕܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܐܝܟ ܡܕܡ
mdm 'yk dshlymwn bywmthh hw' khshyb l' wksp' snyn' ddhb' dmlk' gzh dbyth m'n' wkl ddhb' shlymwn dmlk' dthshmshthh m'n' wklhwn
All King Solomon’s drinking vessels were of gold, and all the vessels of the House of the Forest of Lebanon were of pure gold. Silver was not considered valuable in the days of Solomon.

ܡܛܠ ܕܣܦܝ̈ܢܐ ܓܝܪ ܐܝܬ ܗܘ̈ܝ ܠܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܡܠܟܐ ܕܐ̈ܙܠܢ ܗܘ̈ܝ ܠܬܪܫܝܫ ܥܡ ܥܒ̣ܕ̈ܘܗܝ ܕܚܝܪܡ ܚܕܐ ܠܬܠܬ ܫܢ̈ܝܢ ܐܬܝ̈ܢ ܗܘ̈ܝ ܘܣܦܝ̈ܢܐ ܕܐܙ̈ܠܢ ܗܘ̈ܝ ܠܬܪܫܝܫ ܛܥܝ̈ܢܢ ܟܣܦܐ ܘܕܗܒܐ ܘܦܝ̈ܠܐ ܘܩܘ̈ܦܐ ܘܛܘ̈ܣܐ

For the king had ships that went to Tarshish with Huram’s servants. Once every three years, the ships of Tarshish came bringing gold, silver, ivory, apes, and peacocks.

ܘܝܪܒ ܡܠܟܐ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܡܢ ܟܘܠܗܘܢ ܡ̈ܠܟܐ ܕܐܪܥܐ ܒܥܘܬܪܐ ܘܒܚܟܡܬܐ
wbkhkmth' bewthr' d're' mlk' kwlhwn mn shlymwn mlk' wyrb
So King Solomon exceeded all the kings of the earth in riches and wisdom.

ܘܟܘܠܗܘܢ ܡܠܟ̈ܐ ܕܐܪܥܐ ܒ̇ܥܝܢ ܠܡܚܙܐ ܐܦܘ̈ܗܝ ܕܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܘܠܡܫܡܥ ܚܟܡܬܐ ܕܝܗܒ ܡܪܝܐ ܒܠܒܗ
blbh mry' dyhb khkmth' wlmshme dshlymwn 'pwhy lmkhz' beyn d're' mlk' wkwlhwn
All the kings of the earth sought the presence of Solomon to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart.

ܘܗܢܘܢ ܡܝܬܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܠܗ ܓܒܪ ܩܘܪܒܢܗ ܡ̈ܐܢܝ ܣܐܡܐ ܘܡ̈ܐܢܝ ܕܗܒܐ ܘܢܚ̈ܬܐ ܘܡܘܪܐ ܘܒܣ̈ܡܐ ܘܪ̈ܟܫܐ ܘܟܘ̈ܕܢܘܬܐ ܒܚܘܫܒܢܐ ܟܠ ܫܢܐ ܒܫܢܐ

They each brought tribute: vessels of silver, vessels of gold, clothing, armor, spices, horses, and mules every year.

ܘܗܘܐ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܫܠܝܛ ܒܟܘܠܗܝܢ ܡܠܟܘ̈ܬܐ ܡܢ ܢܗܪܐ ܦܪܬ ܘܥܕܡܐ ܠܐܪܥܐ ܕܦܠܫ̈ܬܝܐ ܘܥܕܡܐ ܠܬܚܘܡܐ ܕܡܨܪ̈ܝܐ

He ruled over all the kings from the River even to the land of the Philistines, and to the border of Egypt.

ܘܝܗܒ ܡܠܟܐ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܒܐܘܪܫܠܡ ܟܣܦܐ ܐܝܟ ܟܐ̈ܦܐ ܘܐܪ̈ܙܐ ܝܗܒ ܐܝܟ ܚܠܐ ܕܥܠ ܣܦܬ ܝܡܐ ܣܘܓܐܐ

The king made silver as common in Jerusalem as stones, and he made cedars to be as abundant as the sycamore trees that are in the lowland.

ܘܙܒ̇ܢܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܪ̈ܟܫܐ ܠܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܡܢ ܡܨܪܝܢ ܘܡܢ ܟܘܠܗܝܢ ܡܕܝ̈ܢܬܐ
mdynth' kwlhyn wmn mtsryn mn lshlymwn rksh' hww wzbnyn
They brought horses for Solomon out of Egypt and out of all lands.

ܘܐܡܠܟ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܥܠ ܐܘܪܫܠܡ ܥܠ ܟܘܠܗ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܐܪ̈ܒܥܝܢ ܫܢ̈ܝܢ

Solomon reigned in Jerusalem over all Israel forty years.
